Pride in ‘blue and white’ manufacturing
EL-AV Compressors is currently engaged in a major project for the design, manufacture and supply of a system for production of respiratory oxygen, for use by all hospitals in Israel. During the COVID-19 crisis, EL-AV Compressors joined the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Health in a project for the supply of portable oxygen generators that provide oxygen to ventilators. As part of the project, the company will supply 23 systems for generation of respiratory oxygen, with the capacity to provide to about 2,000 ventilated COVID patients. The system consists of a container to which 50 ventilation beds can be connected. The container can be transferred from one hospital to another, according to the patient load at any given time, and thus ensure flexibility of the supply of medical oxygen to hospitals throughout Israel. As part of the project, our plant was visited by Mr. Eli Dukorsky, Mayor of Kiryat Bialik, Minister of Health Yuli Edelstein, and many other notables.
Mayor Eli Dukorsky, in response: “I am proud of the fact that a company from Kiryat Bialik was the first to develop a mobile facility, in order to adapt production methods to the need of the hour and the shortage of respirators. In my visit to the factory I was deeply impressed by the creativity and initiative, on the one hand, the the quality and compliance with the stringent requirements of the Ministry of Health, on the other hand. Well done.”
