The level for oil-less compressed air is Class 0.

Oil-free screw compressor
This technology is among the most advanced and efficient in the oil-less area; however, it is not suited to all customers. Oil-less screw compressors work according to the same principle as oil-lubed screw compressors. It has two screws, male and female. The male screw creates the suction and compression of air along the female screw; however, as opposed to the oil-lubed compressor in which the oil lubricates and cools the compression unit, in the oil-less screw compressor there is no oil to lubricate and cool. The greatest enemy of oil-less screw compressors is water; hence, special coatings are required for the compression chambers and compression screws. These coatings must be highly resistant to intense heat and moisture.
In high-quality oil-less screw compressors, in order to achieve better results from both air quality and energy efficiency standpoints, manufacturers will use two compression stages. Between the first stage and the second stage will be a precooler and a moisture separator. By cooling and drying the air before its entry into the second stage, we achieve higher efficiency and protection, thus ensuring the unit’s integrity and length of life.
