Project description:
- Measurement of air and energy (electricity) consumption.
- Characterization of a suitable compressor for the customer.
- Characterization of the method of installation and modifications required in order to achieve an optimal operational state, and bring maximum efficiency to the station.
- Installation, with emphasis on professionalism in both the level of installation and quality of parts we use in it.
- Operation and initial calibration, in order to fully adapt the compressor’s mode of operation to that of the plant, and thus achieve maximum efficiency.
Summary:
After completing installation and performing several measurements, as can be seen in the attached film, by upgrading the existing compressor and proper calibration of its mode of operation, we achieved significant savings of about 60% in energy consumption, about 16 kW per work hour. This savings in electricity costs is estimated at 21500$ a year (115,200 kW), and the return on investment (ROI) will be less than a year. In addition to a large savings in electricity, from the operational aspect, the customer is now working with a new compressor under manufacturer’s warranty, with a significant improvement in compressed air production capacity of the main compressor from about 4,000 l/min to more than 7,000 l/min.
